“AI” Is Changing It All

Call it Tech Summer. Last week’s topic was cryptocurrency; this week’s is AI, or Artificial Intelligence. AI is driving markets and businesses with unstoppable speed. Speaking of speed, today’s note will be a short one!

The original title of today’s TGIF 2 Minutes was, “AI is and will continue to change everything“. But that title was too long. A quick request to an AI assistant for a shorter title offered: “AI is changing it all.” Hence, today’s title. PS. the remainder of today’s note is written by yours truly.

AI makes a myriad of tasks MUCH easier for people of ALL technology abilities.

  • For those not yet (key word, “yet”) fully embracing AI, the reasons to merely experiment with AI assistants are too numerous to count.
  • For those who ARE embracing AI, it is abundantly clear that with AI, tasks, jobs, projects and questions can be completed, finished and solved with mind-blowing speed. Thus freeing up time for more work and tasks to be accomplished OR freeing up valuable leisure time. What’s not to like about that?

In several recent conversations with people who can be described as experts in their fields – whether at forming start-up companies; running small, medium and large companies; or consulting for large projects – the statement, “AI will change everything in the next 5-7 years” is heard over and over again.

At a technology conference earlier this year a basic suggestion was offered: simply TRY an AI assistant. What is an “AI assistant”? In brief, it is a software program that uses artificial intelligence to be a resource, perform tasks, problem-solve and much more. AI assistants can even engage a user in conversation. Several examples of AI assistants – not endorsing any of these – are ChatGPTGrokClaude and Copilot. There are tons more.

One more tidbit (for today) is to advocate for AI notetaking apps during online generated meetings. Getting very basic here, as numerous folks have been using these for a couple of years, notetaker apps can be a game changer for those running a meeting or simply wanting to remember and organize what is said and presented in a meeting. Otter.ai is one and Zoom meetings has its own internal notetaker. There are LOTS of note taker apps.

On your own time, give it a go – there are free versions of most all of the AI assistants mentioned above. There are also associated paid versions that give greater capabilities. Enjoy!
